Volunteer Descriptions

Standard Bearer **The Standard Bearer category is full, so please select another committee. ** - Standard Bearer volunteers will carry and update their standard displaying the match status at the close of each hole. All Standard Bearer volunteers must be physically able to walk the course, carry the standard, and be familiar with match play scoring. (8/24 – 8/28).

Marshals **The Marshal category is full, so please select another committee. ** - The function of Marshals (Gallery Control) is to maintain fair playing conditions for the players by controlling the spectator gallery. Marshals will also serve as forecaddies at the drive zone of each hole and at the greens on both courses as well as facilitate the flow of movement for players, caddies, officials and the media.

Operations – Volunteers will assist prior to and during championship with staffing information desks at the airport, hotels and golf courses. Also Driving Range, Clubhouse, Hospitality Airport/Hotels, Volunteer Check in, Spectator Information Desk, Clubhouse Security, Transportation shuttle, and fill in as needed. (8/19 – 8/29).

Scoreboard / Status Board **The Scoreboard/Status Board category is full, so please select another committee. ** - Operate manual leaderboards and thru-boards at various sites throughout the course and post information received via handheld computer. May have to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms. (8/22 - 8/28).

Walking Scorers **The Walking Scorers category is full, so please select another committee. ** - Record accurate hole-by-hole scores and statistics for each player in group and transmit this information to Scoring Central via handheld computer. Must have thorough knowledge of golf, be comfortable working with a handheld computer and physically able to walk 18 holes at a steady pace regardless of weather conditions. (8/24-8/28)
