Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in supporting the 111th U.S. Amateur championship. The U.S. Amateur is the oldest national championship conducted by the USGA and is among the most prestigious championships in the world. For this championship to be the success we envision, we will rely on the volunteer support of our community, and we hope you take pride in being an integral part of hosting such a prestigious and historic championship.

All volunteers are required to purchase volunteer uniforms for $110. This charge will cover the cost of two (2) 2011 U.S. Amateur logo embroidered volunteer shirts, a jacket, a cap, volunteer credential, breakfast or lunch on the days you volunteer and parking throughout the week.

In appreciation for your service to the 2011 U.S. Amateur, after completing total volunteer hours of 12 hours at Erin Hills you will have the opportunity to play Erin Hills during selected times for the remainder of the 2011 season and partial 2012. (Caddies not included, non transferable)

Volunteers will be expected to work a minimum of three shifts (number of hours per shift depending on the assignment) during the championship. The actual number of shifts you will be asked to work will be based on your committee assignment. Volunteers will be assigned to their committee of preference, as long as those positions remain available. (Click here for Volunteer positions).

Upon completion of your on-line application you will receive confirmation that we have received your application.

Volunteer assignments will be made as the positions reach their capacity. At that time you will receive your volunteer assignment and information specific to that assignment.

Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express will be accepted. Declined credit card payments will void your registration. Personal checks will not be accepted. Your volunteer registration fees will be processed upon receipt. All submitted volunteer fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable.

Volunteer packages will be available for you to pick up at the volunteer training session.
